empire hotel
Situated on a triangular lot at the intersection of Soho and Tribeca, the Empire Hotel blends the ideals of these two neighborhoods into one. The building is split into 4 different massings characterized by their setbacks, strategically placed at the heights of neighboring preexisting buildings. The entire building is made out of brick, reminiscent of many buildings in Tribeca, mostly red with a darker red above and below the windows to accentuate verticality. The base displays 4 stories of larger glass windows and storefronts, reminiscent of the large glass windows in Soho. The crown of the building features a diagonal pattern of a lighter colored brick to differentiate it from the rest of the facade.
The hotel features 32 stories with 380 standard hotel rooms and 33 hotel suites, glass-surrounded double height amenity floors, shops on the ground floor, a spa, pool, gym, and rooftop terrace.
